Police ID Homeless Person Shot, Killed Overnight In Bladensburg

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed overnight while walking along a sidewalk in Prince George's County near an apartment complex, police say.

Officers were called to the 5400 block of Newton Street at around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday night in Bladensburg, where they found Brandon Iziah Green suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say that Green, who has no fixed address, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.

Detectives are now working to identify a motive and possible suspects, according to a spokesperson from the Prince George's County Police Department.

The fatal shooting remains under investigation.
